Youth Saving Monty Moose Program
At the time of opening a Monty Moose Share Account, you will receive a special gift from Monty.
Every year on your birthday, you will receive a birthday postcard in the mail. Redeem this postcard at either KSW location for $5 Monty Moose Bucks.
For each deposit of $5.00 or more made by the child (with the child present), he or she will receive Monty Moose Bucks.
The more money you save, the more bucks you earn!
- $5.00-$9.99 earns 1 Monty Buck
- $10.00-$14.99 earns 2 Monty Bucks
- $15.00-19.99 earns 3 Monty Bucks
- $20.00-$24.99 earns 4 Monty Bucks
- $25.00 & over earns 5 Monty Bucks
Monty Moose Bucks can be saved and redeemed for gifts in our Club Store or redeemed for Amazon gift cards.
Monty Moose Membership
Membership is available to those who live, work, worship, go to school, or volunteer in Kennebec, Somerset, or Waldo counties. You may also become a member if you are related to an existing member.
How to open your Monty Moose Account
- A parent or guardian must provide your social security number along with your birth certificate.
- If a parent wishes to be on the account, they will need to present a photo ID.
- A minimum of $5.00 is needed to open the account.
- Children must be under the age of 13 to participate.
Services Available with Monty Moose Accounts
Share Accounts: Monty Moose Savings Accounts have the same dividend rate as other Share Accounts and are great for the first-time saver.
Club Accounts: Members have the ability to open Club Accounts to save up for something special. With no minimum balance required, this is a great way to learn about saving and budgeting for purchases.
Share Certificates: Once a balance of $500.00 or more is reached, a member can choose to open a certificate account to increase earnings.
